Lou’s story

Louis Stanton began his career doing high climbing in a logging Camp in Forks, Washington. At that time he made $8 per day. He was the highest paid climber at High Lead Logging Co. In 1941 Lou started working for Yellow Cab Co doing tree work on the side. As he took on more tree work, he decided to leave his day job and purchased a yellow cab that he cut the back out of to haul brush. A few years later he went to a car lot and asked to take the truck for a spin. He came back four weeks later with cash on hand and a tip. That’s how Lou started his business on a shoe string.

In 1989 Mike took over the business. His two sons, Charlie and Hudson, grew up in the business.

Mike Stanton, Owner

Michael Stanton took over Seattle Tree Service in the late 1980’s and has been the owner/operator ever since. He acts as foreman, estimator, customer relations liaison, and climbs all of our most hazardous trees. Personable, easy to talk to, and having a thorough understanding of tree care makes Mike an expert in the tree pruning and removal industry.

5/5

This is a quality company from start to finish. I had 2 large fir trees one with power lines going through it and the other very close to fences and a residential building. I would consider both trees to be difficult removals. Seattle Tree Service took them both down flawlessly with no damage to the surrounding building or power lines. The crew was extremely organized and cleaned up the property better than expected. I would highly recommend this company for any tree work! A+ all day long. – B.K.
